The SERAFINA Pens were inspired by the Queen of the Witches in the movie The Golden Compass. Designed in the steampunk fashion using vintage brass focals in a pattern to symbolize her daemon (totem familiar), a grey goose named Kaisa. The goose symbolizes vigilance. Lovely hand dried ferns were applied to represent the cloud pine brooms & bows used by the Lake Enara Northern Witches. The pen itself is wrapped in shimmery violet gauze akin to Serafina's billowey dress, and the pens shaft is wrapped in tan flax to represent her own arm wraps of tan leather, with a base wrap of my own handcombed silver llama wool. At the center of each shield is a single emerald green crystal, with tiny aurora swarovski crystals applied along the base of the main quill.
Each pen is painted in a peachy rose & then faerie dusted in white to produce the patterns shown on the quill which represent feathering from Kaisa, and the quill itself is crafted from a Grey Lag Goose feather.
They are for sale, and listed on my website at www.chaeyahne.net or in my etsy store.
